Adelina Herrera Calvillo of Jourdanton, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born in Floresville on December 9, 1925 to Pedro and Catarina (Montalvo) Herrera. Adelina loved gardening and tending to her plants.
She is survived by her daughter, Beatrice C. Treviño and husband Jimmy of Jourdanton; sons, Anselmo Calvillo of Jourdanton, Jerry Calvillo and wife Stella of Converse and Christopher Calvillo and wife Beatrice of San Antonio; sister, Aurora Regalado of Pleasanton and brothers, Alex Herrera of San Antonio and Martin Herrera and wife Aurora of Jourdanton. Adelina is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandise Esquivel, Tonya Calvillo, Rhonda Calvillo, Rachel Campos, Serena Perez, Sybil Stokes, Vanessa Calvillo, Jacob Calvillo, Matthew Calvillo and Christopher Calvillo, Jr. and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Perez Calvillo; son, Joseph Calvillo; parents, Pedro and Catarina Herrera; brother, Alvaro Herrera and sister, Angie Pena.
Visitation was held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 2 – 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass led by Father Gilberto Vallejo will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pleasanton on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 4 p.m., interment will follow at San Ysidro Cemetery in Pleasanton.
