The intersection of Goodwin and Bryant streets in Pleasanton was the scene of an accident that caused power outages and traffic diversions, mid morning, Monday, May 6. The Pleasanton Police report is as follows: “On Monday, May 6, 2019, at approximately 10:10 a.m., a male subject driving a van was eastbound on Goodwin Street when he suffered a medical episode and lost control of the vehicle as he approached Bryant Street intersection. He struck two power poles, shearing one of them in half. Power was interrupted for a large portion of the city, to include the Pleasanton ISD campuses, but was promptly restored by several line crews who responded from Pearsall. The driver of the van was transported to the hospital where he was discharged later in the day with minor injuries.”
