The 11th Annual Texas Sized Health Fair is set for this Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the South Texas Regional Medical Center (STRMC) campus. The health fair will begin at 10 AM and end at 2 PM. As always there is no cost for the health fair.
“As of today we have 65 vendors participating representing a diverse spectrum of healthcare providers.” said Will Brown, STRMC Marketing Director. “As in years past, we will be offering free screenings to include cholesterol testing, blood glucose screening, blood pressure checks and many others.” Brown added.
Aside from free screenings, STRMC will provide free hot dogs, chips and drinks for attendees, as well as inflatable bounce castles for children. At the fair, attendees can pick up information about various health care specialties and meet new area physicians to include Michael W. Kurz, M.D. a family practice physician from Lone Star Medicine.
Given the construction on the STRMC campus, parking will be a little more challenging than in years past.
“We have a fewer spaces this year as we are making room for the South Texas Medical Plaza” said Will Brown. “But we will have gaspowered golf carts available to help attendees get to and from their vehicles.” Brown added.
Please join STRMC and local/ area healthcare vendors on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the STRMC campus from 10 AM to 2 PM for the free Texas Size Health Fair.
