Farm Equipment Theft


 

 

The Atascosa County Sheriff’s Department along with Crime Stoppers is hoping that a FIVE THOUSAND-DOLLAR cash reward being offered for one week only will help solve a report of a theft located in the 11000 block of US HWY 281 North, located near the Atascosa/Bexar County line.

On Saturday, July 21, 2012 sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of US HWY 281 North for a report of a theft. Upon their arrival they were informed by the property owner that when he arrived at the property he found that the gate was open and as he began to look around he found some of his farm equipment was stolen. The property owner stated the theft occurred sometime between July 17, 2012 and July 21, 2012. The farm equipment stolen was described as a 1981 John Deere Tractor, a 2000 KD 5500 front end loader, a 2002 John Deere quick hatch, a 1964 John Deere 9’ offset disk harrow, a 1999 Gooseneck 28’ flatbed trailer, and a 1988 shop made cattle trailer. The estimated value of the property stolen is over $43000.00.

Sheriff’s investigators have some leads in this case and are in need of your assistance to help solve it.
