The Atascosa County Sheriff’s Department along with Crime Stoppers is hoping that a FIVE THOUSAND-DOLLAR cash reward being offered for one week only will help solve a burglary located in the 300 block of Boxhouse Road, off of FM 3175 in the Quailcreek Subdivision.
On October 12, 2014 at about 1:45 p.m. sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Boxhouse Road for a report of a burglary. Upon the deputies arrival they were informed by the homeowner that the family left the residence on Friday, October 10, 2014 at about 1:00 p.m. and returned on this date at about 1:30 p.m. When they returned he noticed the front door was open. The homeowner stated as he walked into his residence he noticed the residence to be in a state of disarray and numerous items to be missing. Stolen property included a 40” Panasonic flatscreen TV, a 24” Insignia flatscreen TV, a Winchester gunsafe, a Remington 870 Express 12 gauge shotgun, a Mossberg 20 gauge shotgun, a Remington 22-250 shotgun, a Panther Arms .223 rifle, 2 – Ruger 10-22 rifles, a Marlin .22 Mag, a Marlin XT17 with a Nikon scope, a Benelli 12 gauge shotgun, a Ruger Mark 3 pistol, 2 – bow fishing bows along with 2012 Ford F250 extended cab truck. The estimated value of the property stolen was over $38,000.00.
