The Atascosa County Sheriff’s Department along with Crime Stoppers is hoping that a FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR cash reward being offered for one week only will help solve a report of a burglary located in the 2000 block of Commerce Street, located in the city of Campbellton, TX.

On Sunday, February 2, 2014 at about 8:30 p.m. sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to U.S. Post Office located in the 2000 block of Commerce Street for a burglary. Upon the deputies arrival they were informed by a citizen that when he arrived to pick up his mail he observed the office door inside the post office had been pried open. There were considerable damages done to the inside of the office and it was apparent that the cabinets and drawers had been gone through. Once the postmaster was contacted it was determined that the last employee at the post office was there on February 1, 2014 and left at about 12:00 p.m. There were numerous pieces of evidence recovered. At this time the estimated value of the property stolen and damages is undetermined.

Sheriff’s investigators have some leads in this case and are in need of your assistance to help solve it.
