The Atascosa County Sheriff’s Department along with Crime Stoppers is hoping that a FIVE THOUSAND-DOLLAR cash reward being offered for one week only will help solve a burglary that occurred in the 5500 block of Verdi Road in the Blackhill Community area.
On December 9, 2011 sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 5500 block of Verdi Road for a burglary. Deputies made contact with the property owner who stated she left her residence on December 8, 2011 at 5:00 a.m. and when she returned on December 9, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. she attempted to open the front door but it was jammed and would not open. Numerous items of evidence were located at the scene. Property taken in the burglary included a 37” RCA flatscreen TV, a Wii game system, a Kodak digital camera, numerous pieces of jewelry which included James Avery charm bracelets, charms, rings, earrings, pendants and watches along with numerous DVD’s. The estimated value of the property stolen is over $3000.00.
Sheriff’s investigators have some leads in this case and are in need of your assistance to help solve it.
