The Atascosa County Sheriff’s Department along with Crime Stoppers is hoping that a FIVE THOUSANDDOLLAR cash reward being offered for one week only will help solve a report of a burglary located in the 25000 block of Trumbo Road, near the Atascosa/Bexar County line.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2013 sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 25000 block of Trumbo Road for a burglary. Upon the deputies arrival they were informed by the property owner that they left the residence on September 29, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. and returned on September 30, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. and the front gate was still secured with the chain and lock used to secure the gate. As they were about to mow the yard they discovered their walkbehind string trimmer was missing. Upon checking the storage building on the property, numerous other items were discovered to be missing. Property stolen included an Earthquake walk-behind string trimmer, numerous Hotwheel model cars in the original packaging, numerous Star Wars action figures in the original packaging and 3 large Spawn action figures in glass display cases. The estimated value of the property stolen is over $2000.00.
Sheriff’s investigators have some leads in this case and are in need of your assistance to help solve it.
