Pleasanton Parks and Recreation is hosting a 4th of July Celebration at the Pleasanton River Park on Saturday, July 4, kicking off at 12:00 p.m.
This event will have entertainment and activities for all ages. You can look forward to festivities such as rock-climbing,a dunking tank, 25 ft. waterslide, slip ‘n slide, splash pad, egg toss, sack races, live music, corn hole, a pie eating contest (for those 18 and older) and a washer tournament. The washer tournament will have on-site registration and will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. along with the pie eating contest.
There will be a snack truck and free hot dogs available starting at 12:00 p.m. The hot dogs will be given out on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Starting at 5:00 p.m., food trucks will open and begin serving food and beverages.
Brad Jenschke and the Neon Ranch Band will kick off the live music at 6:00 p.m. The concert will take place under the large pavilion. Jerry DeLeon and South Bound will perform at 7:30 p.m., and The Scott Wiggins Band will take the stage at 9:00 p.m. to close the show. Following the concert, the night will close with a firework show beginning at 10:00 p.m.
