4-Hers attend Commissioners’ Court

The Atascosa County 4-H members attended the Commissioner’s Court meeting on Monday, August 8 and presented the court with an overview of the club’s highlights from the past year.  This included community services such as the Main Street Outreach Thanksgiving Dinner, Relay for Life Bake Sale, Food drive for CAM, monies raised for Eli’s Fund, 4-H community center cleanup and tree planting and clean up at the Strawberry Festival Grounds.  The 4-Hers also shared various accomplishments and contests they have participated in such as Livestock Shows, record book contests, rifle matches, dog shows and photography to name a few.  There are seven clubs with 278 youth enrolled.  For information on joining 4-H in Atascosa County call the AgriLife Extension office at (830) 569-0034.
