(Pleasanton, TX – August 5, 2019) The City of Pleasanton held its second USDA Housing Assistance Program Workshop on August 1, 2019, at the Pleasanton Civic Center.
USDA Area Housing Specialist Jimmy Kolodziej led the workshop and shared important information about the USDA’s Housing Assistance Program, which includes: Home Ownership, Home Repair, Self Help Program, and Multi-Family Housing.
Workshop participants were given the opportunity to apply for assistance immediately after the workshop. Applicants may qualify for up to $15,000 1% interest loans on 20-year terms for home repairs.
“We had a good turnout at this month’s workshop,” says EMC Owner & Founder Janice M. Gonzalez. “We have additional scheduled USDA workshops planned between September – December. We will work with all available organizations to create awareness about these important housing assistance programs.
Nationally, the USDA Office of Rural Development has invested eight billion dollars and assisted over 55,000 families since 2009.
“The City of Pleasanton is committed to ensuring that our residents are provided with information about housing assisting programs available through the state and federal government,” says Pleasanton City Manager Johnny Huizar.
The City of Pleasanton and EMC Strategy Group will host the next USDA Housing Assistance Workshop on September 26, 2019, at 10 – 11 a.m., at the Pleasanton Civic Center. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 210.960.4340, ext. 102.
