Area playoff boys basketball

Area playoff boys basketball goes down with McMullen County playing Thursday and Pleasanton and Jourdanton playing their games on Friday. Jourdanton hopes to break through to the regional quarterfinal after falling in overtime last year in the area playoff. Pleasanton hopes to make the regional quarterfinal for the first time since 2017.

Fugitive arrested following chase


Atascosa County Sheriff’s Deputies and Texas DPS Troopers were involved in a chase Monday afternoon which led to the arrest of a wanted fugitive, according to Sheriff David Soward.
