Pleasanton’s Girls Soccer Team Tournament


Pleasanton’s girls soccer team starts its season by hosting a tournament Thursday to Saturday. Eight teams will compete, with the tournament championship taking place Saturday on the Pleasanton football field.

Search for Cowboy Homecoming Queen


This year’s Cowboy Homecoming Queen election will be held January 25 and 26. If you are interested in running for Cowboy Homecoming Queen, you must attend Pleasanton High School and be a sophomore or junior. Paperwork is available at Pleasanton High School or the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce. The deadline for turning in paperwork is Monday, Jan. 7.

Unemployment rate remains at historic low 3.7 percent

AUSTIN-Texas’ seasonally adjusted unemployment was 3.7 percent in November, remaining at the same historic 42-year low it was in October.
