Lady Eagles take 3rd at Karnes City tournament

The Pleasanton girls basketball team won third place at the Karnes City tournament Thursday through Saturday. Lady Eagles senior Aubrey Guerra made the all-tournament team. The Pleasanton boys basketball team claimed the Silver bracket at the Jourdanton Classic last Thursday through Saturday. The Eagles defeated San Antonio Lutheran 60-40 in the championship to finish 3-1 at the tournament. Pleasanton built a 24-4 lead after the opening quarter and rolled the rest of the way. The Jourdanton boys basketball team finished 2-2 at its home tournament last week after winning its pool and advancing to the Gold bracket. The Poteet boys basketball team fell in overtime in the Bronze bracket championship of the Jourdanton Classic.
