Eva Martinez Villareal of Tilden, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the age of 84. She was born in Tilden, to Matilde and Jesusa (Quintanilla) Martinez on January 30, 1933.
Eva was a strong woman, who was devoted to her family and her faith. She enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to hymns. She also was a very giving woman, who shared with anyone. Her greatest love was that of her family. She was quick to forgive and quiet when she needed to be.
Eva is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Miguel Villareal Sr.; sons, Miguel Villareal Jr. and David Villareal and wife Norma; daughters, Celia Johnson and husband Michael, Facunda Ryan and husband Delbert and Irene Martinez; brothers, Matilde Martinez Jr., Felipe Martinez and wife Sandra and Arturo Martinez and sisters, Louisa Lee and husband Floyd, Sally Serrata and husband Matias, Anita Martinez and Angie Serrata. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, Michael Johnson Jr., Miguel Villareal III, Marcos Villareal, Matthew Robert Villareal, David Villareal Jr., Daniel Villareal, Pablo Juarez, Natalie Juarez, Bryan Ryan and Elysia Ryan and her nine great-grandchildren, Michael Layton Johnson, Destanie Ann Johnson, Nathaniel Juarez, Bryce Blanchard, Aidan Blanchard, Isiah Villareal, Carley Villareal and Devin Villareal and James.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Matilde and Jesusa Martinez; brothers, Paul Martinez and Luciano Martinez and sisters, Sarah Gutierrez and Naomi Arisola.
Visitation was conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 2 – 9 p.m. Graveside service will be at Hilltop Cemetery in Tilden on Wednesday, November 29 at 10 a.m.
Pallbearers for Eva’s service will be Matthew, Marcos, Michael, Pablo, Bryan and Little Joe Jr.
