Local sales tax stays strong for August

Atascosa County is still holding strong in sales and use tax. The Texas Comptroller Susan Combs distributed over $816,000 to the cities in our county this period. This is down 4.41 percent from last year at this time. Statewide, Combs revealed sales tax revenues totaling $2.34 billion was up 6.3 percent compared to last year. “The growth in sales tax […]
