Vester M. Kendrick, age 90, of Pleasanton, passed away, Friday, August 17, 2012 in Jourdanton. Vester was born February 9, 1922.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Jayden Paul Kendrick; wife, Lillie Mae Kendrick; brothers, James Freddie Kendrick, Marvin Lester Kendrick, Roy Allen Kendrick, Tommy Louis Kendrick and step-grandson Steven Brad Smith.

Vester is survived by son, Warren E. “Eddie” Kendrick and wife Sue Ann of Hobbs, New Mexico; daughter, Rita Gail Armstrong of Pleasanton; sister, Geneva Hayes of Grand Prairie and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his grandsons Mike Armstrong and wife Debbie of Meridian, Idaho, Robert Christopher Kendrick of Pleasanton; granddaughters, Shawn Edgar of Tucson, Arizona, Tamarah Kendrick of Hobbs, New Mexico and great grandson Aldan O’Neal of London, England.

Visitation was held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Monday, August 20, 2012, beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing until service time at 3 p.m. Interment followed in Pleasanton City Cemetery, Pleasanton.
