Grace Criado, born April 16, 1932, moved to heaven on August 16, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesus (Chito) Criado; parents, Eusebio and Benigna Almaraz; brothers, Pedro and Bernabe Almaraz; sisters Elodia Escamilla, Odulia Santos and granddaughter Crystal Newsom.

Mrs. Criado is survived by her children, Roy A. Criado and wife Sheryl of San Antonio, Sylvia C. Oliva and husband Rick of Poteet, Sandra C. Herrera and husband Irrael of Poteet, and Celia Newsom and husband Jeff of Jackson, Michigan. She is also survived by grandchildren, Rudy Criado and wife Lupita, Cory Criado and wife Pearl, Jacsanne Rios, Jennifer Woissol and husband Mark, Jessica Criado, Ritchie Oliva and wife TuMay, Jason Oliva, Jeremy Oliva, Phylicia Newsom and husband Bryan, Gerard Herrera, Ariel Herrera; great-grandchildren, Elijah Rios, Nayeli Rios, Dylan Mc- Cormick, Sierra McCormick, Mariah Oliva, Jasmine Oliva, MJ Woissol, and Matthew Woissol. Her brothers, Alfredo, Arnulfo, and Rudy Almaraz, all living in Michigan and sister Ramona Sookey of Ohio also survive her.

Visitation was held at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Poteet, Tuesday, August 21, 2012, from 3 - 9: p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Madre Dolorosa Cemetery, Poteet.
