Carl Woomer, Sr., age 87, of Pleasanton, TX, died Monday, August 20, 2012, in Pleasanton. Carl was born August 18, 1925.

He is survived by his wife Alice Woomer of Jourdanton; daughter Terri Jupe and husband Rick of Jourdanton; daughter-in-law Diane Woomer of San Antonio; grandsons Vance and Jodie Jupe of Jourdanton, Bryce and Kim Jupe of Pleasanton and Michael Woomer and fiancé Marika Martin of San Antonio; great grandchildren Jadyn, Maebry and Kinnedy Jupe and Chase Jupe; niece Gwen Fisher and husband Charlie of Pleasanton; sisters Virgie Sadler and Agnes Brockwell and brother-in-law Al Froboese. Mr. Woomer is preceded in death by his son C.B. Woomer.

Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton from 2 - 9 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012. Funeral service will be at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Jourdanton at 11 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2012. Interment to follow at St. Matthew's Catholic Cemetery in Jourdanton.
