Dumas on Dean’s Honor List


Seth Dumas Seth Dumas Seth Dumas has earned the designation of Magna Cum Laude for the 2012 Spring Semester on the Dean's Honor List from the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas-Austin.

Seth is a Senior with a double major in Radio- Television-Film and English. He has been involved in Texas Student Television (TSTV) , Austin's SXSW Film Festival, American Idol production assistant, Moderator for Robyn Swicord ("Little Women", "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"), Communication Council, Freshmen Interest Group Mentor and Austin Stone Missional Community Leader. Seth is currently attending the Shakespeare at Winedale Program. This is a program of the University of Texas Department of English that invites students and audiences to explore Shakespeare through performance.

The program is open to students by application and interview. The students in the course spend the summer at the Winedale Historical Center, working seven days a week in the old German hay barn that serves as the theater. This summer the group is performing three plays which include "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "The Winter's Tale", and "Coriolanus." Public performances at Winedale were held for 5 weeks Thursday-Sunday in July and August. The students will end the program with touring performances in Dallas, Austin, and Staunton, Virginia in August.
