Angel Castillo Angel Castillo graduated from Pleasanton High School and is enrolled at Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, where he will major in Computer Science.

Angel was a member of the Pleasanton High School Band four years and a member of the National Honor Society two years and received the Presidential Honors Award. He also received $12,000 Scholarship Award from Southwestern Adventist University.

While in high school Angel was very busy with his Church, He is a member of the Atascosa First Seventhday Adventist Church and held various positions. He was deacon, head of the sound system, played his trumpet during church praise and worship time. He was also Director of the Pathfinders Club for 2 years, leading his team to state both years where they went to Michigan and Maryland. He always encouraged and motivated his team to success in life by working hard at what you believe in and prove to yourself that you can make a difference. Angel was a great mentor to those around him and fought peer-pressure by trusting in God’s Guidance and putting Him first in his life. Angel taught himself to play the guitar which led him to play special music in churches and in the nursing homes.

During his high school year he was also busy performing in The Esther Play in San Antonio, Texas. He was the narrator and played his guitar for the audience. With all this excitement Angel’s performance at school never failed. He remained in the A and B Honor Roll and most of the time in the all A Honor Roll.

We are so proud of Angel’s accomplishment and are faithfully trusting in God for His plans in life as Angel goes to college knowing that one chapter of his book has been completed and moves on to the next chapter of his life. Remember family and friends that you can do all things through Christ who gives you Strength. Philippians 4:13. Angel’s favorite Scripture! God be with you Angel as you succeed in Life.

Angel is the son of Alfredo and Sandy Castillo and grandson of Margie and Butch Aguero and Margie and Anecleto Castillo.
