Cruz G. Garcia, age 86, of Pleasanton, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012, in San Antonio. Mr. Garcia was born May 3, 1926 in Leming.

He is survived by his wife Hortensia Garcia of Pleasanton; daughters Mary Alice Martinez of Pleasanton, Gloria Lara and husband Roel of San Antonio, Irene Garcia of San Antonio, Helen Garcia of San Antonio, Martha Garcia of Pleasanton and Rosemary Ximenez and husband Rudy of Pleasanton; sons Natividad Garcia and wife Sonia of Pleasanton, Jessie A. Garcia and wife Eloisa of Pleasanton, Arturo Garcia of Leming and Gilbert Garcia and wife Frankie of Seminole; sister Amalia Vasquez of San Antonio; brother: Pedro Garcia of Verdi as well as 28 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren.

Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Francisca Garcia; son Cruz Garcia, Jr.; brothers Joe and Frank Garcia and sisters Aurora Hernandez, Angela Hernandez, Pilar Medina and Andrea Gallegos.

Visitation was held at Hurley Funeral Home, in Pleasanton from 2 - 9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2012. Funeral services were at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Leming at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012. Interment followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Leming.
