Rodeo this weekend!
Sandy Housh

We are all just about baked, aren't we! We are so fortunate here in Pleasanton to have our own newspaper!! The articles about the past history of our county and the activities that we haven't thought about in a few years, have certainly warmed my heart, especially some of the pictures of the oil camps that used to be here in Atascosa County.

Evidently , this look back into our history will be a continued series for a while, so do check it out!!

Hope you can get to the "Pleasanton Young Farmers' Rodeo" that will be held on August 17-18 at the Show Barn. The farmers work so hard through the year and are so dedicated and disciplined that we know our whole area is a better place to live because of their examples. If you can, go out there and see them. I surely hope you are planning to attend the visit by "Dinosaur George" at the Jourdanton Community Center this next Thursday, August 16, at 10:00 a.m. For more information, call the Jourdanton Community Library at 769-3087.

So many of you have called and expressed your concern for my continuing good health these last few months.

Thanks!! I sincerely appreciate all your prayers and ask that you continue to keep me in your prayers. I feel stronger and more peaceful than I ever have. This is a great place to live. Thanks for being so supportive.

Call with your news!!
