Raymond Young
Raymond Eugene Young was born June 17, 1931 in Lebanon, Missouri to Raymond O. Young and Elsie Lewis Young, who preceded him in death.
He attended school in Lebanon and graduated in 1950. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1950 and served until 1954. On August 14, 1954 he was united in Marriage to Letha Faye Bohannon and to this union was born two sons, Charles Raymond and Kevin Eugene.
On August 8, 1955, he entered on duty with the U. S. Border Patrol in El Paso, Texas. During his career he was stationed along the southern border at McAllen; Los Fresnos; Nogales, Arizona; Chula Vista, California; Laredo and San Antonio. He spent over eight years teaching and supervising Spanish instruction at the Border Patrol Academy. He retired in 1981 as a Criminal Investigator.
Following his retirement he grew pecans; an avocation which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a Life member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife Letha Young of Pleasanton; sons Charles Young and wife Judy of Universal City and Kevin Young and wife Carol of Tucson, Arizona as well as brother Charles A. Young of San Diego, California and his children Leslie, Sandra and John; sister Donna Riggs of Warrensburg, Missouri and her daughter Kellie and grandchildren Jessica, Kimberly and Stacy.
