Diez y Seis Fiesta Celebration!

LEON ZABAVA | PLEASANTON EXPRESS Our 3rd annual St. Andrew Diez y Seis de Septiembre Fiesta Celebration has begun. This year we have two beauties in the process of raising funds in the hopes of being crowned Queen. Please support these young ladies in their efforts to raise money to benefit our Parish Hall Building Fund.
Our contestants are: Nevaeh Raeanne Castillo and Alejandra Martinez.
Nevaeh is the 6-year old daughter of Jaime and Stacey Castillo, maternal grandparents are Salvador and Lydia Sanchez, paternal grandparents are Oscar and Aurora Castillo. Nevaeh will attend first grade at Pleasanton Primary this year. She is very outgoing, loves dancing, sports and reading books.
Alejandra is the 6-year old daughter of Rene H. and Maria Martinez, maternal grandparents are the late Liberato Rivera and Ana Maria Sanchez, paternal grandparents are Raul Martinez Garza and the late Ramona Cruz de Martinez. Alejandra will be attending first grade at Our Lady of Grace Academy in Pleasanton. Alejandra loves watching TV, dancing, dressing up and going to Mass.
One of these girls will be crowned Queen on September 15, 2-12 at our Parish Hall. The Celebration will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5 at the door for adults 18 and older, children under 18 are free. A carne guisada plate for $6 and a variety of food will be sold, menudo, posole, nachos, homemade tamales, Frito pie, hot dogs, Mexican pan dulce, cakes, aguas frescas and other beverages.
