Luz Mata Sanchez, age 82, of Pleasanton, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, in Jourdanton. Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her daughters: Isabel Cordova of Piedras Negras Coah, Mexico, Juana Sanchez Martinez of CD Lerdo Durango, Mexico, Isabel Sanchez Lugo and Rafael of Jourdanton and Maria de Carmen Martinez of CD Lerdo Durango, Mexico; sons: Andres M. Sanchez and Consuela of Pleasanton, Gilberto Sanchez and Maria of San Antonio and Santos Lares Martinez of De Sinaloa, Mexico and Genaro Orona of Pleasanton; sister: Rosa Martinez; brother Rosalio Martinez both of CD Lerdo Durango, Mexico as well as 26 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sanchez is preceded in death by her parents: Leopoldo and Agueda (Martinez Espinosa) Mata; husband: Andres M. Sanchez, Sr. and daughters: Reyna Huereca, Ismelda Lares and Martina Sanchez.

Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton from 2 - 9 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012. Funeral Mass will be at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pleasanton at 10 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2012. Interment to follow at St. Andrew #2 in Pleasanton, TX.
