Witte Museum celebrates National Day of the Cowboy
Saturday, July 28 marks the 8th annual National Day of the Cowboy, a celebration dedicated to preserving pioneer heritage and cowboy culture, who serve as a symbol of the grand history of the American West.
In honor of National Day of the Cowboy, the Witte Museum will offer a discounted general admission rate of $7.28, plus a full afternoon of interpretive demonstrations and plays harkening back to South Texas in the 1800s.
Visit the museum from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. this Saturday and enjoy live gallery theatre presentations featuring actors bringing to life a different aspect of living in early South Texas, with dialogue, costumes, language and props drawn from historical research.
