Feeding Five

Jessica M Machado
Webmaster

Feeding Five will be a blog devoted to recipes and things of the kitchen alike.

Let’s get a little background out of the way. I am the Webmaster here at the Pleasanton Express. I have been married for just about five years and have three kids. I don’t have a lot of time at home being that I would rather spend time with my family instead of cooking elaborate meals everyday.

I have chosen to try a new recipe at least once every two weeks (usually more often). For the past few weeks I have begun to look into different recipes. Not just meals, but snack ideas, beverages and desserts. Last week in Just Sayin’ I blogged about a pasta dish I made. If you’re interested in that click here.

What this blog will be is a place to get ideas. A place to try different things. Now, my cooking skill level is just about nonexistent. I have zero experience. Until now I have mainly just made meals from a box. In growing up a bit and being more health conscious I have made the decision to actually “cook”.

The recipes I look for are those that only have a few ingredients and are complete within an hour. There will be a variety of recipes, however I am partial to pastas. LOL

Periodically, I will have “guest” bloggers. Some of our staff will also share their experience with different recipes or share a recipe that is special to them. I will also have a few blogs where I will be taught by others. I’m looking forward to this.

Another part of this blog is to have you, the readers, send in your recipes, tips, suggestions, comments on recipes we run, everything. We would love to see pics of you trying our recipes.

Maybe there is a recipe you would like to teach me. We encourage you to give us your feedback. You can email your ideas at any time.

If you are a “pinner” on Pinterest.com we will be posting all recipes on our Pleasanton Express pin boards. If not, no problem. Each edition will have a link to the recipe or it will be directly in the blog.
