Pleasanton attends FFA Convention
On July 10 – 13, the Pleasanton FFA Chapter attended the 84th Annual Texas FFA Convention held in Corpus Christi, Texas. Attending members were able to attend eight sessions where they were able to listen to inspirational speakers, retiring addresses from state officers and vote on various business items.
Six Pleasanton FFA members received their Lone Star Degrees this year. This award was an exceptional honor for: Alexandra Roane - Treasurer, Cameron Robles - Reporter, and Justin Smith- Sentinel. Three other members who were unable to attend the convention but received their Lone Star Degrees were: Alec Jasik- Secretary, Sydney Delgado and Tayler Hall.
Members also had the opportunity to visit with various vendors, including different colleges from across the state of Texas. Other activities included attending an opening concert, a hypnotist show and a dance.
Overall, the attendees had an extremely fun and memorable week while learning more about leadership and the Texas FFA organization.
