Vicente Ayala Jr.
Vicente Ayala Jr., 26, of Jourdanton, was called home by the Lord on July 8, 2012. He was born in Laredo, Texas, on May 11, 1986, and moved to Charlotte, as an infant.
He graduated from Charlotte High School in 2004 and was a dedicated, hard worker for PCI. He graduated in 2011 from International Association of Insulators and Allied Workers, and was enrolled in National Labor College in Washington D.C. Vicente was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vicente Ayala Lopez.
He is survived by his loving wife Megan Cruz, precious children Julian and Sofia Ayala, mother Mirna M. Ayala, brother Edward Ayala, niece Jaslyn Ayala, maternal grandparents Rodolfo and Guadalupe Martinez, and father and mother-in-law Henry and Margie Cruz. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Carlos and Rosalba Tijerina, Javier and Olga Martinez, Rosendo and Rosie Martinez, brother and sister-in-law Henry M. Cruz and Jennifer Puzon, cousins Carlos Tijerina, Jr., Jessica, Sergio, and Erika Tijerina, and Alejandra Martinez, as well as numerous relatives from Mexico and San Antonio, and many loving and supportive friends.
Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Thursday, July 12, 2012, from 2 - 9 p.m. with a rosary to be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Jourdanton on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10 a.m., with interment to follow at San Jose Cemetery in Jourdanton.
Pallbearers for the service will be Ernest Jaramillo, Jeffrey Tshirhart, Carlos Tijerina, Jr., Edward Chapa, Jorge Estala, and James Guerra, with Edward Ayala as an honorary pallbearer.
