CF Heritage Days Ranch Rodeo Results
Nine teams competed at the Ranch Rodeo during Cowboy Fellowship’s Heritage Days. The first event under the covered facility at Cowboy Fellowship was the Heritage Days Ranch Rodeo held on Friday, May 11. Nine teams from all over the state of Texas competed throughout the evening in exciting team events including wild cow milking, cattle sorting, team branding, team roping, and more.
Ranch Rodeos serve as a living tribute to our western heritage as it promotes Texas history and the western lifestyle by featuring competition between real working cowboys from real working Texas ranches. The cowboys and their horses compete in team events that showcase necessary skills cowboys practice every day on a Texas ranch. The events require teamwork and quick decision making to earn the top prizes at each event.
The winners of the 2012 Heritage Days Ranch Rodeo were:
1st place: Los Cuatro (4) Amigos: Richard Arredondo- Oscar Garza-Ethan Garza- Chris Garza
The Cowboy Fellowship Heritage Days Ranch Rodeo was held on May 11. 2nd place: Paloma Cattle Company: Gilbert R. Gonzales Rowdy Yow-Colby Mangum-Derek Hale
3rd place: W2 Ranch; Robert Fluitt-Cory Timberlake-Wayne Wise.
Spectators enjoyed an evening of action, excitement, thrills, spills and laughs as they rooted for their favorite teams. In today’s fast paced world it is rare to find a sporting event where the audience can see and feel the camaraderie and teamwork of real working cowboys. Special thanks goes to Ranch Rodeo team leader, Dan Osterman, and his crew of volunteers and workers who worked tirelessly and made sure the rodeo was enjoyed by all who attended.
