Heart patient Brock comes home
Brock Powell prepares to blow out his birthday candles as mom Gena Powell sings “Happy BIrthday”. Sitting behind his birthday cupcakes fashioned into a Captain America shield, Brock Powell is doing much better than three weeks ago.
A prayer vigil was held outside the Methodist Children’s Hospital June 11 while Brock was battling a life threatening staph infection after a recent surgery on his heart to repair a congenital defect.
While he is still on lots of medication and oxygen, his parents Gena and Jay Powell and grandparents Carol and Gerald Camber and Patti and Jack Powell were delighted that he was able to be home to celebrate his sixth birthday. The family is very thankful for the outpouring of prayers, thoughts and assistance.
