Roger McCown Roger McCown was born in West Texas, son of a preacher. He spent a year in Turkey where his parents were missionaries. He was educated at Harding College and Harding Graduate School of Religion. He and MaryBeth have been married for 44 years. They have two sons and 4 grandchildren. He and MaryBeth worked with the Brentwood Oaks from 1967 - 1970. Brentwood Oaks sent them to Guatemala in1970. They worked mostly with the Mayan Quiche. They returned to Brentwood Oaks in 1982 and he has been preaching for the Brentwood Oaks church since 1983. Two important facts: “I get to work alongside Julie and Charlie Johanson and if I have accomplished anything worthwhile in missions it is due in large measure to the mentoring of Jerry and Ann Hill.”

You are invited to hear Roger McCown speak on July 11 during the Summer Preaching Series being hosted by the Pleasanton Church of Christ. Adults meet in the church auditorium during the summer, but there are also classes available for all ages, cradle roll through high school. All Wednesday classes begin at 7:30pm.
