Stanley Maurice Hayes, 85, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 15, 2012 in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was born on Galveston Island, Texas on June 7, 1927.

He graduated from Poteet High School in May 1944. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1945 and trained as a Navy fighter pilot and retired as a Lt. Commander.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Hayes and Elizabeth Hayes, a sister Margaret Margie “Dale” Hayes Turner, nephew Cody Turner.

He is survived by a daughter Becky, son Mark and an adopted son James. Stan attended Tarleton State University and received a BA degree from the University of Corpus Christi.
