Are you ready for some delicious cold salads on a hot summer day? You are in luck! The Friends of the Jourdanton Community Library are holding their annual Salad Luncheon and Silent Auction on Thursday, June 28, at the Jourdanton Community Center.

Serving will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is only $7 for all you can eat and includes ice tea.

The best cooks in Jourdanton and Atascosa County turn out their most delicious salads for this event. The meat salads include crab, chicken, beef, shrimp, tuna, etc. There are delicious vegetable and fruit salads, as well as pasta salads. Be sure and save room for the dessert salads, as they are numerous and fantastic!

The Silent Auction promises to be fun and there are many exciting items to bid on. There will be vintage and antique items, birdhouses, birdfeeders, gift cards, plants in unusual containers. This year we have a really cool handmade wooden rocking tractor (think rocking horse).

All proceeds benefit the Jourdanton Community Library. So come enjoy a deliciously cool lunch and support a worthy cause at the same time.
