Eloisa was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico, on June 23, 1923. She worked for the Works Progress Administration in Washington where she worked on sewing projects for hospitals, orphanages, and adoption centers. She then returned to Las Vegas, New Mexico, where she met Porfirio Gomez, a soldier in the Army Air Corps at Camp Luna. They were married in Las Vegas, New Mexico on December 15, 1943. She then moved to Poteet with her husband where they raised their three children. She worked at the Senior Center in Poteet where she would provide care and assistance to the elderly. Eloisa was a parishioner of St. Phillips Catholic Church in Poteet where she was also a devoted member of the Guadalupanas.
Eloisa was preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio Gomez. Survivors include daughter, Angela Garcia and husband Javier of San Francisco, California; son, Phillip Gomez; daughter, Elena Rodriguez and husband Julio; nephew, Chris and Shirley Ortega of Nevada; grandchildren: Rene Guzman, Madaline Relosa, Jeanne Gage, Veronica Valdovinos, and Javier Garcia. Great-grandchildren: Travis Valdovinos, Anthony Garcia, Rebecca Guzman, Angela Garcia, Joanna Garcia, Joaquin Valdovinos, Julio Relosa, Joel Gage, Aurora Guzman, Matthew Relosa, and Joshua Gage.
Eloisa was buried at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas, on June 6, 2012.
