CODY DECKER PROMOTED TO TRIPLE-A TUCSON

San Antonio – San Antonio Missions infielder Cody Decker has been promoted to the Triple-A Tucson Padres and will join the team today in Tucson.
Decker hit .286 (38x133) with 14 home runs, 29 RBI, six doubles, a triple and scored 25 runs scored in 42 games for San Antonio this season.
The 25-year old native of Santa Monica, CA was tied with teammate Nate Freiman for the Double-A lead in homers and led the Texas League in home runs per at-bat (1/9.50), was second in slugging percentage (.662), fourth in RBI and tied for fourth in total bases (88)
Decker won back-to-back Texas League Player of the Week Honors for the weeks of April 30-May 6 and May 7-13.
Carlos Sosa has been activated from the disabled list and will take Decker’s spot on the roster.
