Ranch Rodeo May 11
Heritage Days will be a weekend full of free events and activities on May 11- 12. The first event will be a Ranch Rodeo on Friday, May 11. Heritage Days will celebrate the 9th anniversary of Cowboy Fellowship and the heritage of western culture in South Texas.
The Heritage Days Ranch Rodeo will be the first rodeo in the new covered facility on the grounds of Cowboy Fellowship. The Rodeo starts at 7:00 PM featuring participants who are real working cowboys from some top Texas ranches. These teams have reputations of producing some of the top ranch hands in the state. Each of the ranch teams will be made up of five cowboys competing in events including Steer Tying, Calf Branding, Rescue Races, Wild Cow Milking, Steer Loading and the Shovel Race. Each of these events is filled with wild action heightened by the race between very competitive teams working against the clock.
All events during Heritage Days weekend will be FREE to the public. Other weekend events include a Youth Rodeo, Pie Contest, Petting Zoo, and demonstrations and exhibits from the Badland Rangers and Buffalo Soldiers.
There will be a chuckwagon cooking exhibit with a limited number of meals for sale at noon on Saturday. Team Roping will begin at 5:30 pm Saturday evening. A concession stand will be available throughout the weekend. No ice chests, coolers or alcohol are permitted.
Join us for one event or come out and enjoy it all. Heritage Days will be held at Cowboy Fellowship located at 561 FM 3350.
