McMullen 4-H Rifle Team excels at District matches

McMullen County 4-H members participating in the 4-H Shooting Sports Rifle team were awarded top honors recently during the District 12 4-H Shooting Sports Match held on April 21st at the Duval County 4-H Shooting Sports Range in Benavides.

Intermediate and Senior Age Division teams earned 1st Place honors in the Postal League 3 Position Small Bore Rifle Match and the District 3 Position Rifle Match. High Point honors in the Postal League Match Intermediate Division were awarded to Sarita Cavazos – 2nd Place, and Heather Haines -3rd Place; Senior Division, Trey Kuenstler – 1st Place and Joaquin Cavazos – 3rd Place. In the District 3 Position Rifle Match, High Point Awards in Intermediate Division awarded to Sarita Cavaozs -1st Place; Senior Division – Trey Kuenstler 1st Place and Joaquin Cavazos – 2nd Place.
