April 12 & April 17 •Moms Day Out at First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Main St. in Pleasanton, every Tuesday & Thursday. Gives moms that much needed time, while children socialize, play & learn, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is for ages 3-5. April 14 •Tamale Plate Sale at The Bigfoot Wallace Museum on Sat., April 14. Plate includes tamales, chili, rice, beans, flour tortillas, a slice of cake & tea for $7.00. Serving will begin at 11a.m. Craft booths and a bake sale. For sale will be t-shirts, post cards, & “Recipes & Remembrances” cookbooks. The Independence Hall is open for visitors, F.M. 472 and F.M. 462, Bigfoot.

April 14 & April 17 •Pleasanton Group Alcoholics Anonymous group meets every Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. Meetings are open discussion and non-smoking at 914 Ohio St. in Pleasanton.

April 16 •Jourdanton Alcoholic Anonymous group meets each Monday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 1608 Campbell Ave. in Jourdanton. If you want to stop drinking, they have an answer. April 21, 2012, 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Atascosa River Park and is sponsored by Pleasanton Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (PHCC) & City of Pleasanton. A fun experience for children under age 16. All bait provided. Poles are provided on first-come basis so bring your fishing equipment if you have such. 300 lbs of catfish to be stocked in Atascosa River.
