Pleasanton BPA students compete in State Competition
Pleasanton High School chapter members joined over 2,000 other conference delegates from across the state to participate in state level business skill competitions, general sessions, and the state officer candidate campaigns and elections.
Competitors and their placings were:
•Zade Llamas- 4th place – Administrative Support Research Project,
•Luke Walters-6th place - Economic Research Project Individual,
•Jenna Yow-8th place – Graphic Design Promotion. All three qualified as National Alternates.
Other competitors not placing were: John Merryman – Payroll Accounting, and the Economic Research Project Team of Jace Llamas, Martin Osorio, Raul Garcia and Tyler Crady.
Celeste Escalante and Gabriella Brooks received the Statesman Torch Award which recognizes students for their personal development and achievement in seven categories: Leadership, Service, Cooperation, Knowledge, Friendship, Love/Hope/Faith, and Patriotism. They both also served as interns during the State Conference getting a behind-the-scenes look at how the conference is run as well as learning valuable leadership skills.
