Farm Bureau offers scholarships
Each year, Texas Farm Bureau awards approximately $80,000 to high school and college students through youth contests, leadership programs and scholarships. More than $100,000 in additional scholarships are awarded at the district level. Students of Texas Farm Bureau member families may qualify for the following educational scholarships:
District Scholarships - Each of the 13 TFB districts awards four $1,000 scholarships to local high school seniors. Applicants must have completed a community service project to promote agriculture. Deadline: March 19, 2012
Young Farmer & Rancher Scholarships - each district awards one $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who plans to pursue a career in agriculture. Deadline: March 19, 2012.
Young Farmer & Rancher Scholarship for Enrolled College Agricultural Students three $2,000 scholarships are awarded to college agricultural students who have completed at least 45 hours of college credit. Deadline: March 19, 2012
Dick Mitchell Memorial Scholarship - One high school junior or senior who has attended the TFB Youth Leadership Conference will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Deadline: March 19, 2012
Agriculture Research and Education Foundation Scholarship two students will receive up to $4,000. Each applicant must submit a biographical statement outlining his or her future plans. Deadline: March 19, 2012
