American Cancer Society ‘Look Good… Feel Better’ in Pleasanton Feb. 27

PLEASANTON- Look Good...Feel Better is a public service program that teaches beauty techniques to cancer patients to help them cope with the appearance related side effects of cancer treatment. The American Cancer Society is proud to introduce new classes for cancer patients in the Atascosa County area!

Classes will be held at:

Session times will be at 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Upcoming dates are: Feb. 27, April 23, May 28, March 26 and June 25.

Look Good…Feel Better group programs are open to all women with cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, or other forms of treatment. Offered through a collaboration of the Personal Care Products Council Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the Professional Beauty Association National Cosmetology Association, the program serves 50,000 women annually across the country.

Patients are given a complimentary make up kit worth upwards of $250 in value of donated cosmetic products to use during the workshop and to take home following the class. “I like to refer to it as a make-over for the soul” says Aracely Torres, Community Manager for the American Cancer Society. “We’re dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life of people undergoing cancer treatment!”

Licensed cosmetologists are needed to volunteer and share their expertise with cancer patients.
