Eagles struggle in Seguin Tournament
The Pleasanton Varsity Eagle Soccer team is off to a rough start, to their 2012 season. During their week of action, the Eagles dropped a non-district game to S.A. Jefferson before finishing a weekend in Seguin winless. The Eagles fall to 0-7, as they prepare for more nondistrict action.
S.A. Jefferson- The Eagles were in San Antonio last Wednesday, Jan. 25th for a match-up against the Mustangs. The Stangs defeated Pleasanton, 8-1 as Beto Garcia scored the lone goal for the Eagles.
“Offensively we have been improving. Defensively, we are still coming together and are working hard every day to improve,” stated Coach Gerald Bermea.
Seguin Tournament: The Eagles competed in a two day Seguin Tournament last Friday and Saturday. Pleasanton dropped a 2-1 decision against the Seguin Varsity “Reserves”, a 6-0 decision to S.A. Lanier, a 4-0 game to the “Reserves” again and a 3-0 contest to S.A. Madison.
Upcoming Games- The Eagles will be off this weekend, as they prepare for a non-district game at home against S.A. Hawkins on Tuesday, Feb. 7th with a varsity only game at 8:00 p.m.
