Blue or Pink?

As you are reading this article, I will be attending a Doctor’s appointment in San Antonio. I will no longer have to question myself on if we should  pick “Blue” or “Pink”.
With all joking aside, you guessed it, I will find out if we are having a boy or a girl tomorrow morning in San Antonio. While we have discussed numerous names, one thing I am concerned about right now is the final construction of my home for hopefully the final time for now. Every room was re-done in my house but one, and this is going to be the baby’s room. So as construction is set to begin tomorrow afternoon, at least we will have a clue as to how to decorate it for our little one as summer will be here before we know it.

NFL Playoffs- Anyone want to wager on who will be the next Super Bowl Champion? I am not a BIG NFL fan by any means, especially when the Cowboys stink it up like they did this season. Usually I will cheer for whichever team has the most “UT Longhorns” on it. As the playoffs continue, I am thinking that New York seems to be playing the best football so far. Then again, you can never root against the New England Patriots. Anytime you have two veteran ball clubs like this, you never know. Then you have the “Cinderella team” from the West Coast- San Francisco. Yes, this has one of my co-workers, Arnold, going just a little crazy. He is in heaven right now, just loving the ride they are on.

Local Action- As the Basketball Playoffs go into the second round of district play, it appears the McMullen County Cowgirls are the lone team who is all but in the playoffs for sure. Other teams who remain well within the hunt include Jourdanton boys, Pleasanton boys, Charlotte girls and the Charlotte boys and the McMullen County boys.
Soccer Tourney- Be sure to catch the Lady Eagles in action this Friday and Saturday as they host a two day tournament. Teams from all across Texas will be in town for the event.

Lift Meet- Be sure to head over to Poteet to catch some of the strongest athletes in the area in a day long Power-Lifting Meet on Saturday.
