Community Center, Library fundraiser underway
The fundraising continues for the Pleasanton Public Library Foundation, Inc. and the Pleasanton Community Center, Inc. Both entities are 501(c)3 organizations so any donations are tax deductible. Time is running out for this year’s deductions, so get out those checkbooks!
There are several levels of suggested giving, from $100 up to however much you want to give. Each donation will be recognized by a plaque located at the entrance to either the community center or library. We also offer personalized, engraved bricks for $35, which will be placed in the sidewalk at the library. If you are interested in those, please give us a call or drop by for a form.
While the money for the renovation of the downtown buildings is earmarked by the city, we still need so many things for the interior. The community center will need tables, chairs, kitchen equipment and many other supplies. The library will need shelving, furniture and supplies of all sorts. We count on the community to help us out with these expenses and continue with all sorts of fundraising, such as the gold/silver buying event, salad luncheons and such.
Generous donations came in from the Pleasanton Masonic Lodge #283 and Genny Rakowitz at the Buckaroo level. Arlene Michael purchased a brick, also. Thanks so much to each of you.
