What do you get when you cross taking care of yourself with taking care of a child in foster care? Answer: A great day for everyone!

The Beachwave Hair Salon invites you to its 3rd annual Open House-CASA benefit on Saturday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The staff of the Beachwave Hair Salon in Pleasanton has generously offered to donate half their proceeds this Saturday to CASA of South Texas. The salon is located in downtown Pleasanton, on the corner of Main Street and Hunt Street. Currently, Beachwave has a staff of seven and offers a variety of products and services. They do an array of chemical applications, massages, manicures and pedicures.

This Open House offers the community a chance to go and see what the salon can do for you. Beachwave will also have vendors on site who will share 20 percent of their proceeds. Beachwave will be providing refreshments, and they will also have a drawing and door prizes.

Beachwave owner Denise Sikes said, “We are a full service salon that has a very friendly, relaxing atmosphere. We are proud to help CASA of South Texas again this year.”

CASA of South Texas works to help the court find safe and loving permanency for children who have been abused by their parents and consequently placed in foster care by Child Protective Services. CASA is a not-for-profit children’s advocacy program that recruits and trains volunteers to speak up for children who often have no one else to believe in them.

To make an appointment at Beachwave, give them a call at 569-5701. Join the Beachwave Hair Salon in helping CASA of South Texas on Saturday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
