Lady Bulldogs force tie-breaker.

SAN ANTONIO – The Poteet Agates suffered a season ending loss to Marion in a tie-breaker match for third place on Friday.

Marion (25-11, 8-5 in Dist. 27-3A) upended the Agates in three straight games 25-20, 25-11, 25-19 at South San High School to take third place and qualify for the playoffs.

Leading Poteet were Courtney Criswell with 19 kills, Kyla Criswell with 20 assists and Delisa Rodriguez with 15 digs.

Poteet (17-21, 7-6) was forced into the tie-breaker game after falling to Marion in the final District 27-3A match in three straight games 25-16, 25-13, 25-11.

Kyla Criswell finished with 11 assists, five kills and one block. Courtney Criswell finished with eight digs and six kills. Rodriguez finished with nine digs and Katie Garza finished with five kills, one assist and one block.
