BPA, Pleasanton Chapter holds induction ceremony

Aubrey Smith shares her story.

Business Professionals of America, Pleasanton High School Chapter held its annual induction ceremony on October 15, in the PHS Cafetorium.

Mrs. Aubrey Smith, Store Manager of HEB, was the guest speaker for the evening. Mrs. Smith shared her story of success, starting as a PHS Co-op student to running a multi-million dollar store. Mrs. Smith also talked in detail about the career opportunities with HEB from pharmacists, to product development specialists, to transportation crews, to jobs at headquarters. She also mentioned opportunities for college students and became sentimental talking about community services projects HEB has worked on in our community and throughout Texas.

After Mrs. Smith’s keynote address to BPA members, the chapter began its special meeting to install newly elected officers and induct members for 2009-2010 school year.

New officers are: Jacob Pacheco- president, Will Havins- vice president, Paige Poth- secretary, John Merryman- treasurer, Neena Rodriguez- historian, Molly Ellis- parliamentarian. Members inducted that night were: Gabby Brooks, Hillary Cashmer, Shelby Crossland, Jennifer Diaz, George Delgado, Kierstyn Dumont, Celeste Escalante, Danielle Gonzalez, Angelina James, Juan Ortiz, Christopher Schulze, Veronica Urbanczyk, Luke Walters, Tayler Williams, Jacquelyn Wisdom.
