DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: The Project is generally described as follows: A new 6,000 SF +/-, Elementary School Gym with an Alternate for a front canopy. It will be located North of the current Kindergarten Wing of the Jourdanton Elementary School off of Tamarac Road, in Jourdanton, Texas. The Project includes offices, and restrooms. Work shall consist of general construction, site work, heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, telecommunications, and other work described in the Plans and Specifications dated July 22, 2014, and prepared by PBK Architects, 601 NW Loop 410, Suite 400, San Antonio, Texas 78216, Telephone (210) 829-0123. ESTIMATED PROJECT BUDGET: $800,000.00. Pursuant to the provisions of the Texas Education code section 44.035 and 44.039, as amended, it is the intention of the Jourdanton Independent School District (“JISD”, “District”, or “Owner”) to select, via Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals method, a construction contractor for the Project described herein. PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE: A VOLUNTARY PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 PM ON AUGUST 05, 2014. THE LOCATION OF THE CONFERENCE WILL BE THE JOURDANTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT’S ADMINISTRATION OFFICES, 200 ZANDERSON, JOURDANTON, TEXAS 78026. REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ARCHITECT, OWNER, AND CONSULTING ENGINEERS WILL BE PRESENT AT THIS MEETING. PERSONS DESIRING TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. PROPOSAL DOCUMENTS: Proposal Documents will be available beginning July 23, 2014, at the offices of PBK, 601 NW Loop 410, Suite 400, San Antonio, Texas 78216, 210-829-0123. A fully refundable $200.00 deposit for each set of documents shall be required. Checks are to be made payable to PBK. The deposit will be refunded when Proposal Documents are returned as stated below. SCHEDULE FOR RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS: Proposal shall be delivered in person or by United Stated mail. Proposal received by oral, telephonic, facsimile, telegraph, or other electronic means are invalid and shall not receive consideration. On July 7, 2014, Wildcatter Wireless, LLC filed an application with the Federal Communications Commission to assign the construction permit of FM translator Station K296GK to serve Pleasanton, TX. The permit specifies operation on Channel 296 with an effective radiated power of 250 watts from an antenna site at Latitude: 29-0-01 North, Longitude: 98-31- 50 West. The proposed assignee, Alpha Media Licensee LLC, intends to rebroadcast the signal of AM Station KTSA, San Antonio, TX. (37p)

The Pleasanton City Council adopted Ordinance No. 14-1112 at the Regular Session of July 17, 2014. The caption of the ordinance is shown below:


AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, TEXAS AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES BY SUPPORTING ORDINANCE 12-1062 WITH AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND ENFORCE THE PROTECTION OF THE PLEASANTON POTABLE WATER SYSTEM THROUGH MEANS OF A BACKFLOW PREVENTION AND CROSS ONNECTION CONTROL PROGRAM MANUAL; ESTABLISHING STANDARDS; PROVIDING FOR THEIR ENFORCEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Chapter 10 of the City of Pleasanton Code of Ordinances is amended to establish the Pleasanton Water System Backflow Prevention and Cross Connection Control Manual as presented in Attachment “A” of Ordinance No. 14-1112. This ordinance is available for inspection at the City Hall during regular business hours.

Sealed bids are requested by the City of Pleasanton for the maintenance of approximately 8346 linear feet of the Atascosa River Channel and approximately 3900 linear feet of the Bonita Creek Channel. The work will consist of clearing brush and debris from within the channels and removal of sediment from a portion of the Atascosa River in accordance with the contract documents. Sealed bids will be received by the City Secretary, Cindy Urrabazo, 108 Second Street, P.O. Box 209, Pleasanton, Texas, 78064, until 2:00 P.M., August 14, 2014. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at City Hall located at 108 Second Street, Pleasanton, Texas, 78064. There will be a pre-bid meeting at 2:00 P.M. July 23, 2014 at 108 Second Street, Pleasanton, Texas, City Hall. Interested bidders may obtain plans and specifications from City of Pleasanton City Hall between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The City requires that interested bidders obtain a printed copy of the documents from City Hall for a non-refundable price of $25.00.
